About BizOpsTool

We rank open-source tools
so you don't have to

BizOpsTool is a daily-updated intelligence engine for business operators, startup founders, and SMEs who need to make fast, evidence-based decisions about their software stack.

Our mission

Replace gut feel with GitHub data

Every week, hundreds of open-source business tools are published on GitHub. Most of them are undiscovered. Some are extraordinary. The problem is that finding them requires hours of manual research — comparing stars, checking commit history, reading issue threads, and guessing whether a project is actively maintained.

We built BizOpsTool to automate exactly that. Our bot runs every night, scrapes GitHub for BizOps-relevant repositories, enriches each one with 9 health signals, and computes a proprietary BizOps Score. The result is a daily-refreshed leaderboard you can trust.

We are not a directory. We are not a review site. We are a data engine — the same kind of systematic, signal-based analysis that institutional investors use to evaluate assets, applied to open-source software.

How it works

From GitHub to ranked tool in 4 steps

1
Daily scrape
Our GitHub Actions bot runs every day at 6 AM UTC, querying 10+ BizOps topics across the GitHub Search API.
2
Signal enrichment
Each repository is enriched with 9 signals: stars, fork velocity, commit recency, issue response time, CI status, contributors, PR merge rate, test coverage, and release cadence.
3
BizOps Score
Signals are normalised and weighted to produce a composite BizOps Score from 0–100. Higher scores mean healthier, more actively maintained tools.
4
Published daily
Results are committed to GitHub Pages, SEO pages are regenerated, and a digest is sent via Telegram and Beehiiv newsletter.
